This is not the first time I’ve gotten 45 MPG in my VW Alltrack. Like the last time, this was a trip from my house in Denver to Denver International Airport. But this time I also added Castle Rock to the round trip.
While my average speed was 50 MPH, no, I did not drive 50 MPH on the highways. It’s 50 because I spent time navigating a few neighborhoods… which were 25 MPH speed limited.
Forty-five miles per gallon is the ceiling for my Alltrack’s fuel economy. I just can’t crack it without being dangerous, like travelling more than a few MPH under the speed limit, or drafting a semi truck. I don’t do those things ever, not for these MPG reports or anything else.
For this report and the other 45 MPG report I did drive conservatively… never over the speed limit.
